Pratik aka PRP is a man of sincere passion and unflinching commitment, to eating. However, when he’s not stuffing his face silly with a McDonald’s double spicy chicken burger and adding to his already respectable 250 pound frame, he’s usually trying to make it in the big bad world of cinema.
Pratik grew up in the middle east, till higher studies took him to Canada and eventually Bangalore, where he completed his BBM from Jain College. He subsequently worked at JP Morgan for two years, before deciding to quit cold turkey and follow “the nagging voice” in the back of his head. Through sheer luck, he got a break in Chennai assisting Selvaraghavan on a feature film. A self confessed wanderer, his tenure as an assistant director eventually brought him to Mumbai where he worked with Yash Raj on the feature film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. He spent all of 2012 working with 7 Films, a reputed advertising production house based in Mumbai, assisting on over 10 commercials. He has also written and directed The Wherefores, an 80 minute indie, shot under 3 days that is currently in post production.
He now heads Attaboy films, writing and directing all kinds of films, hopefully, putting his own unique spin on things.
